Betol^®

The Betol line of products by Woellner comprises sodium, potassium and lithium silicate solutions with variable molar ratios of silica to alkali oxide as well as ready-made mixed silicate binders. Some products contain functional additives that optimize their properties.

Betol binders are used in a wide variety of applications, among them

• the manufacture of construction and insulation material based on mineral and renewable organic raw materials
• fire protection and refractory materials
• ceramic products
• the manufacture of welding electrodes and wires
• the grouting and stabilization of permeable geological formations, e.g. in civil engineering and mining operations
• the briquetting and agglomeration of powders

Due to their inorganic character, our silicate binders are particularly suitable for applications in which they are subjected to high temperatures. Moreover, they do not contain solvents (VOCs) and have no negative effects on ecological systems when used in industrial applications. This was proven in extensive studies by independent institutes.
